Our experiment

Through a set up of a thermal solar panel we are trying to find out which liquid will heat up the most. We will do this by taking a Pringles box which is cut in half. Then we put a whole at the beginning and at the end of the box. After that we put a purple straw into the Pringles box, which we filled up with the different liquids we chose. We let a light shine on the set up for ten minutes. After that we recorded how much each of the liquids heated up.

Variables

There are a few different types of variables in our experiment. The standardized variables in the experiment are the colour of the Pringles box, distance to the lamp, colour of the straw, time we leave the liquid in the straw, distance from the straw to the tube and we will also keep the amount of liquid we put into the straw the same. Our independent variables are the things we will change during the experiment, these are the different types of liquids.
